I've always cared deeply about people. Over the years, I've found myself continually drawn to understanding what shapes us, what helps us heal, and what allows us to live with greater authenticity, freedom, and connection with each other.
The compassion and curiosity I felt for others eventually led me to psychotherapy. For almost twenty years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and couples as they navigate relationships, trauma, sexuality, life transitions, and the many challenges and opportunities that come with being human.
While psychotherapy remains the foundation of my work, I've increasingly found myself creating opportunities for growth beyond the therapy room. Today that includes men's groups, workshops, retreats, and collaborations that allow people to spend more time exploring themselves, practicing new ways of relating, and building meaningful connection with others.
Whether we're meeting in my office, sitting together in a group, or sharing a retreat experience, my hope is always the same: to create a space where you feel deeply respected, challenged, and supported as you move toward the life and relationships you want.
Across everything I do and offer, I focus on creating experiences that help people reconnect with themselves, each other, and their personal and collective journeys.
What it’s like to work with me
First and foremost, I don't see you as your problems.
You're more than a diagnosis, a difficult chapter in your life, or a collection of symptoms. While my training helps me understand patterns, my first priority is understanding you. I'll ask about your relationships, your values, your identity, your sexuality, your fears, your hopes, and the experiences that have shaped you because I want to understand your life as a whole. Every part of you is welcome here.
I've long believed that meaningful change happens through experience and in relationship with others. Insight matters, but lasting transformation rarely comes from understanding ourselves alone. It happens when we begin to experience ourselves differently, discover new possibilities, and feel supported enough to take risks that once felt impossible.
My sense of humor naturally finds its way into the room, even when we're working through painful experiences and especially when we celebrate moving through them. I also have a detective's eye for moments of growth, because those moments often become the foundation for much bigger changes. One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing people discover more ease, freedom, and connection in their lives.
Finally, I see this work as deeply collaborative. I bring years of education, experience, and a commitment to continually learning my craft. You bring the expert knowledge of your own life. Together, we'll create an approach that honors your pace, builds on your strengths, and supports the direction you want to grow.
Beyond Therapy
My practice includes psychotherapy with individuals and couples, men's groups, workshops, retreats, and consultation.
Although each setting offers something different, they're all grounded in the same intention: creating experiences that help people develop a deeper relationship with themselves, more authentic relationships with others, and lives that feel increasingly aligned with who they truly are.
In addition to my clinical work, I'm continuing to develop workshops and retreats in Santa Fe, Minnesota, Colorado, and other locations. I'm also available to collaborate with organizations, communities, and fellow facilitators to create experiential workshops, retreats, and educational programs.
Travel, time in nature, and learning from different cultures continue to shape the way I understand people, relationships, and what it means to live a meaningful life.
