The practice of psychotherapy is so much more than a job. For me, it's a craft developed and honed over time. There are many lineages, and always someone further down the path of wisdom with any given specialty. I'm committed to this ongoing learning journey, honoring my teachers and passing the wisdom and compassion I've received to you.

My Psychotherapy Supe Style

My supervision style is influenced by years of sitting with great supervisors, mentors, and teachers. My offering is to extend that lineage to you with depth, collaboration, and a healthy dose of belly laughs. I take time to understand my supervisees: their personalities, what they stand for, and how they want to serve. I see supervisees as the experts in their practice. I'm here to collaboratively and consensually guide them as they explore new and complex dynamics. To open up curiosity and expand possibilities while opening dialogue about how privilege, culture, and identity influence the therapy room and clients' lives.

I encourage conversations about how we as therapists can show up from a grounded and authentic self in therapy and how the people we sit with impact and influence our state of being and practice. I include sensorimotor psychotherapy practices, narrative therapy inquiry, and exploration of how supervisees' attachment styles interact with those of their clients.

What's the difference between Psychotherapy Supervision and Consultation?

Supervision is a word I typically use for therapists working towards clinical licensure, sex therapists working towards AASECT certification, and licensed therapists wanting specialized trauma therapy or sex therapy supervision of their work.

For those looking for Social Work licensure supervision, I'm licensed in Colorado and Minnesota, and there may be opportunities to meet in person when I’m in the Denver or Minneapolis metros. I'll happily supervise those in other states if your board allows it.

Consultation is not specific to therapists. I offer specialized consults for people working with sexuality, trauma, and relationships. So reach out if you're a healthcare worker, therapist, coach, chaplain, social worker, program developer, or someone else doing healing work.

Sex Therapy Supervision for AASECT Certification and beyond.

I'm delighted to begin supervising therapists working towards AASECT certification. I'm bringing all my passion for somatic, narrative, and attachment work into my sex therapy supervision practice.

As an AASECT Supervisor in Training, I offer individual and group sex therapy supervision. I'm receiving supervision of supervision from the wonderful Doug Braun Harvey, and the therapists I supervise will have the opportunity to be in group supervision co-facilitated by Doug and me.
